Did you know?
Here are some sad facts I learned today about the Untouchables. The lowest class of citizens in India. Also know as the Dalits (click here for more information)."It is estimated that every hour, two Dalits are assaulted, three Dalit women are raped, two Dalits are murdered and two Dalit homes are burned, according to the Human Rights Education Movement of India. Yet only one percent of those who commit crimes against Dalits are ever convicted."
I don't really have any great advice on how to change this but I just felt like we as Americans should be more aware of the suffering in the world. Extreme poverty and injustice need to be battled. Truth and dignity must be protected. And when we think there is nothing we can personally do. That's the best time to pray, right? You always have the power to pray! God can help even the lowest class citizens. In fact he loves to help them. Jesus came for the sick and the poor. So pray for Him to bring change and healing to this situation.

And actually, at this point in time in history, now more than ever before; opportunities are opening up for these people to be protected. His love and protection of these people is also growing each hour! Let's pray for that new protection to grow.
